Arrive in Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco state. Considered to be the most "Mexican" of all the cities, Guadalajara has all of the fun of a big city without the craziness. Known for its amazing food, bars, and tequila, Guadalajara is just the tip of what will be offered for this trip.
There will be a small meet and greet at the boutique hotel, with first drink included. Then we will have a "locals guide" to Guadalajara for you to go out on your own and explore
Wake up and have included breakfast at the hotel
We will start exploring the area while heading out to the highlands. Make a first stop at a small distillery, and grab a bite in a small town for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will check into your casitas, which are on a distillery's property in an agave field. After a bit of time to relax, we head to the nearby town of Tepatitlan for a roof top dinner and cocktail overlooking the main square (Drinks included).
After an included breakfast, take a tour of one of the largest tequila distilleries in Mexico. You'll see, taste and learn how tequila is made from a larger, but still artisan facility. Do a private tastings of their products in a 300 year old Hacienda.
Then, we will head to lunch at a restaurant known for its rodeos and authentic food. (1st drink included)
After a good lunch, optional relaxation time at the casitas, or choose to explore a spa, go horseback riding, or find another distillery to tour.
We will then head back to our casita for a special dinner and festivities.
We check out of our casita and head for an authentic and unique breakfast on the edge of a canyon (included). Once fueled, we head to Tequila Ocho, considered to be some of the best tequila in the world. There we will get a tour of their incredible facility, learn how they source their agave, how it makes their products to special, and do a guided tasting and pairing of their best spirits.
After having lunch at the distillery, we head to Arandas known for its caballero lifestyle and tequila, to explore their shops, cantinas and mercados. Mariachi music will be ringing in the background!
We will then head back to Guadalajara to check into our boutique hotel, and have free time to explore more of this amazing city to find the best tacos, drink and stop by one of the worlds top 50 bars!
In the morning grab breakfast (included), and we head to a artisan market to load up on authentic handmade souvenirs. Then we make out way to the airport to say adios to Mexico!
